NEAR Protocol and Algorand Make Strides to Simplify Blockchain Adoption
May 13, 2025 at 12:08 pm
NEAR reached $6.14 in early 2025 before pulling back, and Algorand hit $0.40 in March before dropping to $0.20.
Crypto projects are constantly striving to lower the barriers to entry for newcomers, aiming to broaden participation in the digital asset space. Both NEAR Protocol (CRYPTO: NEAR) and Algorand (CRYPTO: ALGO) have been making headlines for their efforts to simplify blockchain adoption, focusing on a seamless user experience and interoperability.
However, another project is taking a unique approach by catering to the broader audience with its presale offering. Web3Bay has become a hot topic, with Stage 5 of its 28-stage presale seeing massive participation, leading to the sale of over 430 million 3BAY tokens and raising $1.8 million by early May.
The project's goal is to revolutionize the presale scene by eliminating common barriers that deter new participants. It aims to integrate popular payment methods such as PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, allowing everyday users to join the presale without needing a cryptocurrency wallet.
This approach is crucial for widening the funnel and helping drive broader adoption of blockchain technology. By presenting a familiar and easily navigable platform, it hopes to attract a diverse range of participants.
At the current Stage 5, 3BAY tokens are available for $0.00524, offering both early adopters and those new to the project plenty of opportunity to invest in the project. The project's focus on real-world value is evident in its upcoming decentralized marketplace, where 3BAY tokens will be used for various purposes, including obtaining discounts, engaging in governance, and earning staking rewards.
This focus on utility and community involvement sets Web3Bay apart from many other projects that are mainly focused on speculative trading.
While NEAR and Algorand have been making great strides in their respective domains, aiming to expand the possibilities of Web3 and attract a broader developer base, their recent price movements show that the market is still volatile and unpredictable.
NEAR, known for its user-friendly Layer 1 blockchain focusing on a Web2-like experience, kicked off 2025 strong, briefly touching $6.14 as broader interest in scalable blockchain solutions grew. However, it faced a pullback and dropped to around $2.30 by early May.
On the other hand, Algorand, renowned for its high-throughput blockchain focusing on institutional partnerships and use cases, reached $0.40 in March, driven by surging interest in Layer 1 ecosystems. But, with lower trading activity and the market pulling back, it dropped to around $0.20 by May, despite having secured several global partnerships in the first half of the year.
