Pre-draft, Paige Bueckers Dazzled in a Brown Crystal-embellished Power Suit

Before basketball superstar Paige Bueckers was welcomed into the Dallas Wings fold on Monday, April 14, the 2025 WNBA Draft's No. 1 overall pick dressed to impress in a bejeweled take on power suiting.

Basketball superstar Paige Bueckers was a vision in shimmering emerald green as she was drafted No. 1 overall by the Dallas Wings on Monday, April 14.

Before heading to the stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, where the 2025 WNBA Draft took place, the former UConn player—who helped lead the Huskies to victory at the NCAA championship a few weeks ago—dropped by the orange carpet to greet the press.

Stepping out in a custom Coach outfit, Bueckers sparkled from head to toe in an “opulence moment” that was a study in “power dressing” with “liquid rhinestone cascades,” her stylist Brittany Hampton told The New York Times.

The cool-girl outfit included a mocha brown double-breasted blazer jacket that was worn open to show off a Y2K-esque matching plunging vest tank top inside. The 23-year-old star finished off her monochromatic look with coordinating slacks that flared out in a relaxed silhouette.

The varsity athlete accessorized with Coach’s TikTok-viral oversized coin purse clutch style, made out of black leather with a gold hardware clasp, and a two-strand strap dripping with pearls and gold medallion charms. She also wore a black pendant necklace, black platform shoes, sparkly black rings, and a deep brown manicure to complement her outfit’s color scheme.

In contrast to her simple game-day glam, the basketball maven wore her long platinum blonde hair down in middle-parted mermaid waves that softened her power suiting moment. A glossy nude lip, subtly defined eyes, and contoured matte skin finished off Bueckers’ draft-ready look.

After accepting her spot on the Dallas Wings’ roster, the WNBA star swapped out her brown suit for a plunging sparkly black look.

Bueckers went braless in a black powersuit with a deep v-neckline that was embellished with sparkly black lapels.

The suit jacket was worn open to reveal a v-neckline that went all the way to her stomach.

Tapered black pants and black dress shoes rounded out her look. Pulling back her blonde hair in a half-up style, the basketball maven accessorized with a multi-layer diamond tennis necklace, diamond earrings, and a royal blue Wings baseball cap.
