Pixel x Forgotten Runiverse Partnership

On April 3, web3 gaming entities Pixels and Forgotten Runiverse announced a partnership to integrate $PIXEL into the latter.

Pixels, the web3 social gaming platform, announced a partnership with Forgotten Runiverse to integrate $PIXEL into the fantasy MMORPG.

The partnership, which was announced on April 3, marks a significant milestone in the journey toward building interoperable web3 economies and scaling player-first gaming experiences. It also aids Pixels in its goal of expanding $PIXEL adoption across multiple games and gaming platforms.

To celebrate the collaboration, special in-game quests will launch in both Pixels and Forgotten Runiverse, and an exclusive Forgotten Runiverse avatar will be available in Pixels before the official $PIXEL integration.

“This partnership reflects collaboration over competition, which we believe is the future of web3 gaming. We're grateful to Bisonic for their vision in supporting a multi-token ecosystem,” said Kawaljit "Sunny" Singh, CEO of Pixels, in the press release.

“Pixels has been a trailblazer in building player-first economies, and we’re proud to be the first third-party game to integrate $PIXEL.”

Shane, the lead at Bisonic, added that integrating $PIXEL supports their mission to build a sustainable in-game economy in Forgotten Runiverse and prepare for the launch of their native token, $XP.

“By partnering with Forgotten Runiverse, we can exchange user insights to refine our play-to-earn models and improve reward efficiency, ultimately boosting player retention and engagement. The stronger the P2E model, the closer Pixels moves toward achieving positive Return-on-Reward-Spend.”

Pixels is a web3 social gaming platform with over 10 million players; it combines farming, exploration, and community building in an open-world setting.

Earlier this year, Pixels set out to expand its ecosystem and introduce its P2E token, $PIXEL, to other games.

What is the Forgotten Runiverse?

Forgotten Runiverse is a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in a world where magic has faded after the Wizards vanished long ago. It follows a story where a dark force has spread across the land, but now a portal has opened, and the Wizards are returning to restore the world. The game migrated to ronin in July 2024.
