Pi Network users face losing their coins if they don't complete KYC by March 14, 2025

Mar 13, 2025 at 06:33 pm

With Pi Day just a day away, panic is growing among Pi Network users, known as Pioneers. Many fear they could lose their Pi coins due to ongoing issues with the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process.

Pi Network users face losing their coins if they don't complete KYC by March 14, 2025

Panic is setting in among Pi Network users, known as "Pioneers," as the final deadline for users to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) approaches on March 14, 2025.

What Happened: Many Pioneers are still struggling to get verified in time, and they could lose most of their Pi coins if they don't complete KYC and transfer their balance to the Mainnet by 8:00 AM UTC on March 14, 2025, according to an announcement by Tap to Earn Pi Network.

The team explained that this step is needed to remove unverified accounts and maintain a clean network. However, many users say they have tried multiple times to complete KYC but are still facing issues.

Crypto enthusiast Rod Thompson highlighted this as one of the biggest issues in crypto, noting that he could lose over 10,000 Pi coins because some of his referrals haven't completed KYC yet.

Why It's Important: Many Pioneers report that their KYC applications have been pending for over two years, with no option to reapply, leaving them in limbo.

This has left them frustrated and glued to their screen refresh buttons, hoping to gain access to their coins, which they fear might slip away.

Another major complaint is that Pi Network earns money from ads shown during daily mining. Some users find it unfair that while the platform is profiting, they are unable to verify their accounts and access their earnings.

"It feels like we're being used to generate revenue, but then we can't even use the platform or withdraw our coins," one user lamented in a community post.

Apart from KYC problems and balance inconsistencies, users have also noticed that their unverified balance continues to grow, but their transferable balance remains small, leading to doubts about the platform's transparency.

Additionally, some long-term miners with referrals claim they have received fewer Pi coins than others who mine irregularly, fueling frustration within the community.

Those who have managed to complete KYC are facing challenges moving their Pi coins to the Mainnet, with long lock-up periods forcing some to sell their accounts on unofficial platforms, further impacting the project's credibility.

As the final deadline approaches, the fate of Pi Network hangs in the balance, and the fate of Pioneers' years of mining will soon be revealed.

What's Next: With Pi Day just around the corner, anticipation is running high among users who are hoping for positive updates from the team.

However, with the KYC problems persisting and the final deadline fast approaching, uncertainty remains over the future of the project.
