Pi Network Faces Migration Hurdles and Listing Uncertainty
Mar 12, 2025 at 04:05 pm
The Pi Network community is currently navigating a period of significant transition, characterized by persistent challenges in the mainnet migration process.

Pi Network, the blockchain project that allows users to mine cryptocurrency on their mobile devices, is facing several challenges as it transitions to its mainnet and prepares for potential cryptocurrency exchange listings.
Pioneers, as Pi Network members are called, are still encountering issues completing Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, a necessary step for transferring their Pi Coins to the mainnet.
Despite the introduction of a grace period to aid users facing difficulties, technical complications persist, causing delays and frustrating many Pioneers in completing the process.
Moreover, the migration process has been encumbered by technical hitches, further delaying the transfer of Pi Coins to the mainnet.
These issues are causing growing frustration among users, especially those who have been diligently mining Pi Coins for several years and are eager to begin using them.
Meanwhile, Pi Coin has experienced a slight decline in its market performance. The cryptocurrency dropped by 12% over the past week, reaching $1.55 by Wednesday.
This downturn can be attributed to a combination of market dynamics and anticipation for a potential listing on Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges.
A community vote in February overwhelmingly favored a listing on Binance, with 87.1% of participants voting in favor.
The strong community preference is evident, and an announcement from Binance regarding the listing of Pi Coin is eagerly awaited by many within the network.
However, despite the community’s enthusiasm, Binance has yet to make any official statements concerning the listing of Pi Coin.
As Pi Day approaches on March 14th, which also marks the sixth anniversary of the Pi Network launch, hopes are rising that Binance might seize this occasion to announce the listing of Pi Coin and introduce it to a broader audience.
However, without explicit confirmation from Binance, the timing and likelihood of such an announcement remain unclear.
The resolution of the KYC and migration issues, along with the outcome of the Binance listing speculation, will be crucial in determining the future trajectory of the Pi Network.
