Pi Network: 5 Things It Focuses On — And Why They Matter to the Future of Crypto

Crypto enthusiasts are buzzing about Pi Network's unique approach to integration on centralized exchanges (CEXs). Unlike most tokens that prioritize user-side KYC, Pi demands a deeper level of institutional commitment, requiring CEXs to undergo Know Your Business (KYB) compliance before listing the token.

This news comes from crypto influencer Dr. Altcoin, who shared the insight on X (formerly Twitter).

According to Dr. Altcoin, major platforms like OKX, Bitget, MEXC, Pionex, and Banxa have already cleared Pi Core Team's stringent KYB standards, with more exchanges expected to follow suit.

"Apparently, Pi is the only crypto project that is demanding KYB compliance from CEXs before they can list the token," he noted.

However, Dr. Altcoin further explained that this move isn't just about regulation — it aligns with a global digital currency framework.

"This ties directly into the Digital Currency Global Initiative, a collaboration between ITU & Stanford's FDCI, which aims to integrate digital currencies into the global financial system."

The initiative focuses on five pillars: interoperability, global coverage, technical robustness, economic efficiency, and regulatory alignment.

Dr. Altcoin highlighted that Pi Network might be the only crypto project satisfying all five goals. Being built on Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) — itself a partner in the initiative — and originating from Stanford University, Pi boasts both technical and academic credibility.

This aligns perfectly with the initiative's vision for a common good technology that is trusted and inclusive.

"Now, Pi is possibly the only crypto project that satisfies all five goals of the initiative," he added.

This analysis provides valuable insight into Pi Network's unique strategy and its potential to contribute to the broader vision for a more integrated and sustainable crypto ecosystem. As the industry prepares for Consensus 2025, the spotlight remains on Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis to unveil what's next for Pi.
