Peter Schiff, a Long-Time Critic of Bitcoin Has Acknowledged a Surprising Regret Regarding the Cryptocurrency

Peter Schiff, a vocal critic of Bitcoin, has admitted a surprising regret: not buying the cryptocurrency earlier. The gold advocate, who has consistently expressed skepticism toward Bitcoin’s long-term value, recently said that he wishes he had bought BTC when he first learned about it.

Schiff’s comments came after Bitcoin saw a notable surge in its price, catching the attention of both supporters and critics. The surprising rally of BTC above $110,000 has sparked discussion among crypto enthusiasts.

The remarks made by Schiff come as he remains skeptical about the cryptocurrency’s future. However, he also acknowledged his biggest regret regarding Bitcoin.

In response to a post by the Wolf Of All Street, who expressed surprise that anyone could still be skeptical of Bitcoin at this point, Peter Schiff said that he wished he had bought it when he first learned about it.

One of the most vocal critics of Peter Schiff regarding his opinion on BTC has been Max Keiser, an American filmmaker and a Bitcoin evangelist. Keiser, a long-time Bitcoin proponent, responded by laughing at the opportunities that the gold proponent had squandered.

The filmmaker had recommended Schiff buy Bitcoin at much lower prices, including at $1, $10, $10,00, and even $10,000. However, even as Schiff expressed regret over not investing in BTC earlier, he continues to stand by his belief that gold is the more stable and reliable asset.

According to him, the fact that Bitcoin can quickly lose 70% of its value in a year makes it a poor store of value. In contrast, gold has maintained its purchasing power over centuries, making it a superior asset class.
