PNUT has surged by 13.7% after it was listed by Coinbase, the top crypto exchange in the United States.

Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT) enjoyed a 13.7% increase in value after being listed on Coinbase, a leading cryptocurrency exchange in the United States.

The listing of PNUT on Coinbase follows a recent trend of major exchanges adding new memecoins to their platforms, a move that has garnered both praise and criticism within the crypto community.

After the listing, PNUT’s market cap surged to $1.26 billion, and at the time of writing, it was trading at $1.25.

The Solana-based memecoin was a standout performer during the November bull run, joining Chill Guy and Dogecoin in the top ranks.

PNUT also benefited from indirect promotion by Elon Musk, who tweeted about America being “saved by a squirrel” shortly after Donald Trump's victory, sparking speculation that it pointed to PNUT or Chill Guy, both of which feature squirrels in their logos.

Coinbase Listing PNUT

The decision by Coinbase to list PNUT attracted attention among traders and investors, continuing the trend of major exchanges adding new memecoins with lower market caps to their offerings.

In addition to PNUT, another Solana memecoin, Gigachad (GIGA), was also listed on Coinbase.

However, unlike PNUT, the listing did not lead to a significant price increase for Gigachad. At the time of writing, GIGA was trading at 0.06657 USDT.
