Paul Atkins, the New SEC Chair, Is Facing 72 Crypto ETF Applications—Here's the List

* Atkins was later sworn into office as the 34th chairman of the agency on April 21.

* Less than a week into office, Atkins is already set to face 72 crypto-related exchange-traded fund (ETF) applications,

* This was according to analyst Eric Balchunas, who keeps track of ETF applications.

* Balchunas noted that the regulator will need to decide whether to approve or reject the applications.

Cryptocurrencies Covered in ETF Applications

The analyst noted that there are 18 different tokens that have ongoing applications for an ETF. The tokens are:

Aptos, Avalanche, Axelar, Bitcoin, BNB, Bonk, Cardano, Chainlink, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Hedera, Litecoin, Melania Meme, Official Trump, Polkadot, Pudgy Penguins, Solana, Sui, and XRP.
