The former president invited 220 of the largest investors in the $TRUMP memecoin to an exclusive dinner at his private golf club in Northern Virginia on Thursday, May 24.

Those present at the dinner also witnessed Trump perform a dance routine to his signature song, "YMCA," after delivering a 30-minute speech.

According to reports by NBC News , Trump expressed support for a U.S. Bitcoin reserve but did not announce any new crypto-related policies.

Despite the White House stating the event occurred during Trump’s “personal time,” he addressed the crowd behind a lectern bearing the Presidential seal.

The dinner was organized following the rapid rise of USD 1 stablecoin, launched by World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance company linked to Trump.

In a post on X earlier this month, Warren criticized the coin’s surging popularity, attributing it to shady dealings with the UAE.

“The Trump family stablecoin surged to the 7th largest in the world because of a shady crypto deal with the United Arab Emirates—a foreign government that will give them a crazy amount of money,” claimed Warren.

“The Senate shouldn’t pass a crypto bill this week to facilitate this corruption.”

The senator, a longstanding critic of both Trump and the cryptocurrency industry, has frequently voiced concerns about the former president’s stance on digital assets.

Earlier this year, she joined a group of House members in sending a letter to the administration urging them to reject any legislation that would provide benefits to memecoin traders.

Earlier this month, Warren also penned an op-ed in The Washington Post where she asserted that Trump was "scamming people with his own cryptocurrency, which is now being touted by state media in China.”

According to data from Inca Digital , investors have poured $148 million into the $TRUMP memecoin, with the top 25 contributors spending more than $11 million.

Moreover, at least $1.35 million was generated following the dinner’s announcement.

According to Chainalysis , over 80% of the remaining tokens are held by the Trump family and a secondary company, amounting to a total value of $320.19 million.

The majority of the largest contributors appear to hail from China, India, and Vietnam, with less than half of the top 25 donors being U.S. citizens.

At least 54% of the dinner attendees are foreign nationals, raising concerns about foreign influence and access to the former president.

As Trump arrived at the venue, protesters gathered outside, holding signs that read "Stop Crypto Corruption" and "America is Not for Sale."

"Trump is openly selling influence through his memecoins while selling out Medicaid to pay for tax cuts for his rich donors. It’s beyond corrupt," said Our Revolution in a statement on X.
