@OndoFinance’s $OUSG, backed by BlackRock’s $BUIDL fund, unlocks 24/7 institutional access—mintainable and redeemable using $RLUSD. This is a new era for onchain finance.

DeFi platform Ondo Finance has integrated tokenized US Treasuries to the XRP Ledger (XRPL). The firm’s OUSG, a tokenized short-term US Treasuries fund, is now live on the XRP Ledger.

Institutions will have 24/7 access to the trusted real-world asset via RLUSD, and the fund is mintainable and redeemable in DeFi. This is a major development, considering OUSG is a market-leading product in tokenized treasuries, with over $670 million in total value locked (TVL).

“[Ondo’s] integration paves the way for institutional DeFi and advanced cash management solutions, bringing DeFi and traditional finance closer than ever,” Ondo said.

Earlier this year, Ondo announced plans to launch a tokenized fund on XRPL within six months. The move followed XRPL’s alliance with Guggenheim, a US investment manager, for launching Guggenheim Treasury Services’ US Treasury-backed asset on the platform.

XRPL is known for its enterprise-ready features, including Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), which are crucial for compliance in institutional finance. With its native support for tokenization and a built-in decentralized exchange (DEX), XRPL provides the compliance-first infrastructure institutions require.

XRPL is also recognized for the speed and low cost of its transactions, which are executed on a PoL ledger and can be completed in around 3-4 seconds.

In January, Ondo announced that its tokenized strategy fund, OUSG, would be arriving on XRPL in the second quarter of 2025. At the time, the firm’s tokenized funds were accessible via blockchain networks like Ethereum and Flow.

Now, the firm has confirmed the integration of OUSG on XRPL, and the product is live.

Ondo’s flagship product, OUSG, is a tokenized short-term U.S. Treasury fund that provides institutions with blockchain-native access to a key government security.

The product is a SEC-compliant tokenized fund that can be used by institutions to make new asset allocations in a manner that is consistent with their existing investment processes.

Institutions can mint and redeem OUSG 24/7 using the RLUSD stablecoin, which is a tokenized form of US dollar.

Ondo’s OUSG is also supported by BlackRock’s $BUIDL fund, which is focused on investing in blockchain startups.
