NTT Digital officially becomes ZetaChain validator node

NTT Digital is now running a validation node on the ZetaChain network, providing infrastructure support for developers to build universal applications
Japanese telecommunications giant NTT announced a partnership with Web3 infrastructure provider ZetaChain on Monday.
The partnership will see NTT Digital become a verification node for the ZetaChain ecosystem, further cementing the network as the “Layer 1 universal blockchain of choice for seamless cross-chaining,” according to a press release shared with Blockworks.
The move will also support the development of “Universal Apps,” which are designed to natively support multi-chain ecosystems including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and others.
NTT Digital is now operating a validation node on the ZetaChain network, providing infrastructure support for developers to build these universal applications, the release stated.
The partnership follows similar ventures by Google Cloud and Animoca Brands, Blockworks previously reported.
“NTT Digital is committed to driving Web3 innovation and empowering developers to build interoperable applications that redefine user experience,” said Naoki Tani, managing director of NTT Digital, in the press release. “Becoming a ZetaChain validator enables us to actively participate in building a secure and scalable blockchain infrastructure while contributing to building a unified, connected digital future.”
The partnership will also further integrate NTT Digital — a Fortune 500 company that is affiliated with the global NTT DOCOMO Group — into the blockchain space.
“Today, we are excited to announce that NTT Digital, one of the world’s most influential telecommunications giants, has officially become a verification node for the ZetaChain ecosystem,” the Web3 infrastructure provider said in a separate announcement.
“As a member of the NTT DOCOMO global group, NTT Digital is dedicated to advancing the societal application of cutting-edge digital technologies and forging a secure and convenient blockchain technology environment for individuals and businesses,” ZetaChain added.
Blockworks contacted ZetaChain for further comment but did not immediately receive a response by press time.
