NFT Market Sales Drop 7.8% to $109 Million, CryptoPunks Plunge 55%

The NFT market has taken a hit alongside the broader cryptocurrency downturn, with Bitcoin slipping to $83,000 and Ethereum dropping to $1,900. The overall crypto market cap has shrunk to $2.73 trillion, shedding another $100 billion from last week's $2.83 trillion valuation.

According to CryptoSlam, NFT sales volume fell 7.84% over the past week, bringing total sales to $109.2 million. While this signals a cooling period for digital collectibles, a surprising surge in market participation is offering a contrasting picture.

Buyers skyrocketed by 697% to 204,693, while sellers surged by 419.23% to 133,708. However, total NFT transactions dropped by 5.46% to 1.49 million, reflecting a shift in buying patterns.

Key Weekly Stats:

Bitcoin-based NFTs, on the other hand, defied the trend, recording a 4.63% increase in sales volume to $22.8 million.
