B² Network, recognized as a practical Layer 2 (L2) solution for Bitcoin, has announced a strategic partnership with Orochi Network

B² Network Partners with Orochi Network to Enhance Bitcoin's Scalability and Data Availability Using ZK Technology

Bitcoin Layer 2 solution B² Network has announced a partnership with verifiable data infrastructure Orochi Network to address provable computation, data availability, and scalability challenges using Zero-Knowledge (ZK) technology. The initiative aims to promote the simultaneous development of verifiable data and native decentralized finance (DeFi) on Bitcoin, further decentralizing the ecosystem.

Orochi Network, recognized by the Ethereum Foundation, operates the world’s first Zero-Knowledge Proof-of-Data-Availability (zkDA) layer, while B² Network is introducing a new paradigm for interoperable Layer 2 on Bitcoin with cross-chain liquidity across more than 30 blockchains through integrations like Symbiosis.

The partnership aims to integrate Orochi’s zkDA layer with B² Network’s infrastructure to address Bitcoin’s data scalability limitations. This integration will ensure that transactional data remains secure and verifiable.

Moreover, the collaboration will enhance provable computation by incorporating Orochi’s ZK-proof systems within B²’s Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) environment. Through this integration, advanced financial products like insurance protocols and derivatives can be operated on the Bitcoin network in a trustless manner.

The partnership is also expected to facilitate cross-chain connectivity and liquidity. By utilizing ZK-powered scalability, the integration aims to foster seamless liquidity bridges between Bitcoin and other blockchain networks.

B² Network is the first ZK implementation on Bitcoin, ensuring EVM compatibility by combining Taproot-based verification with ZK proofs. This advancement allows developers to deploy Ethereum-native decentralized applications (dApps) on Bitcoin’s Layer 2, creating opportunities for DeFi innovation.

?We’re excited to announce that B² Network is exploring a strategic alignment with @OrochiNetwork , the world’s first zkDA Layer and Provable Data Platform, recognized by the Ethereum Foundation. ?

Orochi Network’s verifiable data pipeline and zkDA layer provide a decentralized alternative to traditional oracles, strengthening trust in data accuracy. Backed by $12 million in funding from investors including Polychain Capital, Seven Seven Six, and Blockchain Capital, Orochi Network is advancing its mission of providing secure data solutions for blockchain applications.

This strategic partnership is anticipated to make Bitcoin more programmable by combining Orochi’s reliable data infrastructure with B² Network’s secure platform. Developers will gain the ability to create DeFi and real-world asset (RWA) applications on Bitcoin’s L2, enhancing financial innovation. Users, in turn, will benefit from improved transparency, security, and operational efficiency.

By leveraging zkDA technology, the collaboration marks a significant step in redefining Bitcoin’s role within the Web3 landscape. Industry stakeholders are likely to closely observe the impact of this alliance as it aims to unlock new potentials in blockchain interoperability and financial services.
