NetEase Announces Galacta's Gift Event for Marvel Rivals, Commemorating the Game's 1-Year Anniversary

NetEase has announced a new event called Galacta's Gift for Marvel Rivals, which commemorates the 1-year anniversary of the game's original closed alpha.

NetEase has announced a new event called Galacta’s Gift for Marvel Rivals, which commemorates the 1-year anniversary of the game’s original closed alpha. The event, alongside the re-release of the season 0 battle pass, will be available on May 15.

Galacta’s Gift asks players to play matches in order to earn several free rewards. This includes nameplates, sprays, Chrono Shield Cards, and a Costume Coin which will can unlock a costume for any hero from season 0. The Season 0 battle pass will be available again from May 15 to May 29 for 590 lattice.

Recently, Marvel Rivals Season 2, titled “Hellfire Gala,” released on April 11. The season will added Emma Frost, as well as new maps based on Krakoa from the comics. When season 2.5 starts, Ultron will be added to the game.

Ultron will be available a month and a half after the beginning of Season 2, likely at some point in late May/early June. Further, according to a new Dev Vision video for Season 2, NetEase will start releasing characters once a month starting in Season 3. Seasons will also now last for two months instead of three.

Marvel Rivals also added costume colors, the ability to gift costumes, and new team-up abilities in Season 2. Several new patches that have added new events and bug fixes have also released ever since, and continue to release on a near-weekly basis.

Marvel Rivals is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It may release later on the Nintendo Switch 2.
