Nervos Network (CKB) Token Spikes by 119% in a Week, What Made It Happen?
Sep 16, 2024 at 01:17 pm
Nervos Network (CKB) accompanied Bitcoin's (BTC) rise to the $60K territory during the week. Recently, the altcoin's price has significantly climbed

Altcoin prices have varied drastically in the past week as a result of Bitcoin's (BTC) amazing rally to the $60K zone. Among the digital assets that soared to new heights was the Nervos Network (CKB) token, which experienced a massive price surge of over 119% in just seven days.
CKB Price Today
In the past 24 hours, CKB showed phenomenal growth, moving from a low of $0.01464 to a high of $0.01749, indicating a price fluctuation of over 19% to the upside. At 4:30 AM UTC, it remained within the $0.016 range to lock in around 15% of its gains within the day.
Impressively, the crypto asset also spiked by more than 119% in the past seven days from a $0.00798 low to a $0.01749 high before settling at around 111% today. Meanwhile, it rallied by over 118% and 497% compared to its prices exactly a month and a year ago, respectively.
The digital asset accumulated a 165% increase in its trading volume at the same time as approximately $700.19 million worth of CKB moved between addresses. The latest developments have pushed the overall valuation of Nervos Network’s 44.944 billion token supply to $747.20 million, which now positions it in the top 80 cryptocurrencies by market cap in various indexes.
Despite the massive price accumulation of the Nervos Network token within these timeframes, CKB is still 62% below its all-time high of $0.04412 three years ago.
What Contributed to the CKB Token’s Price Spike?
As an open-source public blockchain ecosystem, Nervos Network aims to establish a P2P crypto-economy foundation. It allows users to mine tokens, gain rewards through helping manage network resources, and store assets. Its dual-layer architecture also enables developers to deploy and operate decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts.
Aside from the positive crypto market sentiment influencing Bitcoin’s resurgence to the $60K territory last weekend, CKB also had a lot of things going in its ecosystem that helped sustain its momentum. One of the key events in its niche was its listing in Upbit, one of South Korea’s leading crypto exchanges.

Previously, the platform announced the integration of CKB in its crypto offerings. Although there was a slight hiccup during the launch that resulted in its postponement, the token has managed to maintain its positive momentum, which underscored strong investor interest toward it.
Amid the excitement, a certain indicator in the short-term chart warns of a sell signal for CKB. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) in the daily chart just dialed to 81, which is a sign of the asset getting overbought. On the other hand, the same technical analysis tool is pointing to a “Neutral” zone in the one-week and one-month brackets, while the moving averages are on a “Buy” recommendation.
