MicroStrategy, the enterprise software leader, has escalated its Bitcoin investment, purchasing an additional 2,530 BTC for approximately $243 million.

Enterprise software giant MicroStrategy has upped its Bitcoin game, snapping up an additional 2,530 BTC for roughly $243 million.

The acquisition, disclosed by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor on Friday, brings the company’s total Bitcoin stash to an astronomical 450,000 BTC.

Investment Details, Strategy Unveiled

The latest purchase was made at an average price of $95,972 per Bitcoin, adding to the company’s total Bitcoin investment of about $28.2 billion at an average price of $62,691 per Bitcoin.

As MicroStrategy continues its Bitcoin buying spree, it has also revealed a strategy to increase its Bitcoin holdings further, aiming to raise $42 billion in capital by 2027.

The grand financial plan will utilize a combination of stock sales and convertible debt offerings.

Interestingly, the company has already managed to secure more than two-thirds of its equity funding goal within the first three months of the announcement.

MicroStrategy’s bold Bitcoin acquisition strategy has not only cemented its presence in the cryptocurrency space but has also spurred other corporations to explore similar investment avenues.

One notable example is Metaplanet, a Japanese firm that has become a major force in Asia’s Bitcoin treasury.
