Mantle Network Announces Partnership with Succinct to Transition to Zero-Knowledge Rollup

Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 Mantle (MNT) announced on the 20th a first-of-its-kind partnership with Succinct to transition its network from the current Optimism Rollup to a Zero-Knowledge Rollup. Web3 infrastructure company Succinct provides solutions for Zero-Knowledge Rollups.

This collaboration is aimed at achieving the Mantle Network's goal of building a liquidity chain for institutional-level payments and value transfer liquidity.

Specifically, Succinct's Zero-Knowledge Rollup solution, SP1, will be integrated into the Mantle Network, enabling Mantle to gain benefits such as ▲ fast payment finality, ▲ compatibility with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, and ▲ cost efficiency. Notably, in terms of payment finality, Mantle will be able to achieve bridging performance that is about 168 times faster than before.

Compared to other rollup methods, Zero-Knowledge Rollups use cryptographic proofs to verify the validity of transactions processed off-chain, offering faster transaction finality and lower gas costs.

Mantle's Chief Product Officer (CPO), Joshua Cheung, stated, "This partnership between Mantle and Succinct is the first step for Mantle to support financial services in the future," and added, "Zero-Knowledge proof technology is expected to enable higher-level transactions."
