Machines Arena Gears Up for Open Beta Launch, Broadening Accessibility for All
Apr 17, 2024 at 09:15 pm
Ethereum-based hero shooter Machines Arena (TMA) announces its open beta release on April 23rd, expanding accessibility to PC and Android users via the Mavis Hub. The open beta introduces "familiars," rare creatures enhancing gameplay, and a play-to-airdrop model incentivizing player participation. Directive Games, the developer behind TMA, aims to foster community engagement through regular updates, community events, and future token drop possibilities.

Machines Arena Gears Up for Open Beta Launch, Expanding Accessibility Across Platforms
Machines Arena (TMA), the eagerly awaited Ethereum-based hero shooter game, is set to transition from its closed beta phase to an open beta stage next week. This strategic move by TMA's creators, Directive Games, aims to extend the game's reach to a wider audience, including Android users.
Following the open beta release, TMA will be available for gameplay on both PC and Android devices through the Mavis Hub, a launchpad for the Ronin gaming network. This expansion will significantly increase the accessibility of TMA's thrilling gameplay to a broader player base.
"We are thrilled to open up TMA to a broader audience after months of meticulous development, refinement, and invaluable feedback from our community," the company announced. "This transition marks a significant milestone in our mission to make our game more accessible across diverse platforms."
In addition to expanding the game's availability, Directive Games has introduced an innovative feature known as "familiars." These rare creatures can be collected and deployed by players to enhance their performance in battle. Further details regarding the functionality of these magical familiars will be unveiled in the coming week.
TMA's trajectory has been marked by a gradual integration of Web3 components into the game experience. In July 2022, Directive Games hinted at the potential for in-game cosmetics to be tokenized as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). This concept gained traction when beta testers were granted the ability to create NFT skins and trade them on the Ronin network in February.
The implementation of the open beta will further elevate TMA's profile within the cryptosphere and beyond. The developers have devised a "play-to-airdrop" strategy that will be unveiled during the beta testing phase. This campaign will incentivize player participation by rewarding top performers on individual and team leaderboards with prizes. Hints from the team suggest that the campaign roadmap may include opportunities for token drops.
Directive Games remains dedicated to maintaining player engagement throughout the beta stage. The company will consistently roll out updates that introduce new maps, gameplay modes, collectible mintable items, and other enhancements. Additionally, the strategy involves hosting community events and competitions to foster a vibrant and interactive gaming experience.
Players who participated in the closed beta period must redeem their rewards by April 22 to retain their validity. This transition to open beta marks a significant milestone in TMA's evolution, bridging the gap between traditional gaming and cutting-edge blockchain technology to deliver a dynamic and immersive experience for its ever-expanding community.
