Litecoin (LTC) Somewhat Following Its Previous Cycle's Movements in Terms of When It Has Been Going Up & Down
Feb 16, 2025 at 12:30 pm
Interestingly, Litecoin's price at the time of previous halvings was also near $90, showing a recurring trend in its valuation.

Cryptocurrency prices have been fluctuating wildly in recent times, and Litecoin (LTC) is no exception. As the dust settles and traders attempt to gauge the next market movements, crypto analyst Daan Crypto Trades has highlighted an interesting pattern in LTC’s price action.
According to the analyst, LTC tends to follow a predictable price trajectory, rising and falling at specific intervals, as evident in its historical price movements. However, the pandemic-induced market crash of 2020 significantly impacted LTC prices, pushing them to lower levels compared to previous cycles.
As a result, LTC prices had more ground to recover in the years that followed. This cycle, despite proceeding at a slower pace, has seen LTC prices reach similar levels at the same point after previous halvings.
Litecoin Prices at the Time of Halvings
This observation aligns with another interesting trend – Litecoin prices at the time of previous halvings were also around the $90 mark. However, despite these similarities, LTC’s overall performance pales in comparison to that of Bitcoin (BTC), which has seen astronomical price increases.
While BTC prices have surged multiple times over, LTC has remained within a narrower trading range. However, this cycle has seen LTC prices rise at a steadier and more controlled pace.
If LTC continues to follow its previous trajectory, its next movements could align with historical post-halving price increases. Additionally, the upcoming potential approval of a Litecoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) could significantly impact its performance.
Such an ETF would attract the attention of institutional investors and pique the interest of a broader audience in LTC, ultimately influencing its price movements and market sentiment.
At the time of writing, Litecoin is trading at $131.24, up 1.32% in the past 24 hours. This price movement indicates a recovery from recent declines, though volatility is still present.
Market sentiment is largely neutral to bullish, with price fluctuations suggesting both buying and selling activity. However, trading volume has decreased by 17.04%, reaching $1.28 billion, indicating a decline in market participation.
According to data from Coinglass, Litecoin’s trading volume on the exchange has dropped by 14.82%, now sitting at $1.78 billion, signaling a decrease in speculative activity. However, open interest has risen by 5.04%, reaching $750.12 million, suggesting that investors are still building positions in futures and perpetual contracts.
