World Liberty Financial (WLFI) Clarifies Stance on Truth Social Memecoin

Donald Trump's DeFi project World Liberty Financial has issued a firm statement to debunk rumors surrounding a new memecoin allegedly linked Trump's social media platform Truth Social.

Rumors of Donald Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, launching its memecoin have been gathering steam recently. Earlier reports suggested that the memecoin would launch on ‘Trump Points’ NFT marketplace. Putting them to rest, DeFi project World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has clarified that there’s no such project in development, and investors should stay vigilant regarding any such meme coins floating in the market.

World Liberty Financial Clarifies Stance on Truth Social Memecoin

Donald Trump’s DeFi project World Liberty Financial has issued a firm statement to debunk rumors surrounding a new memecoin allegedly linked to Trump’s social media platform Truth Social. The rumor was that the Trump team would unveil the ‘Trump Points’ NFT marketplace, a platform designed for buying and selling NFTs, which would also serve as the launchpad for the new memecoin. But WLFI has rejected any such developments.

“Don’t be fooled. There is no new Trump crypto project. World Liberty Financial is the only legitimate DeFi project with ties to the Trump family, and we are not developing any NFT marketplaces or memecoins. Stay vigilant and don’t fall prey to scams,” the organization stated on its official X channel.

World Liberty Financial is currently busy with crypto acquisitions, loading up Ethereum (ETH) ahead of the pump.

On the other hand, rumors of a new memecoin linked to Truth Social have been circulating recently. The rumors began after a Discord server allegedly tied to the Trump family announced the upcoming launch of ‘Trump Points’ NFT marketplace, which would also serve as the launchpad for the new memecoin.

Later, rumors linking the new memecoin to Truth Social began circulating on social media. One post claimed that the Trump family would be launching a new memecoin on Monday.

The post attempts to tie the rumors to a statement by Donald Trump Jr. at a recent rally, where he reportedly spoke about a new project that they’re working on, other than World Liberty Financial.

However, Donald Trump Jr., who’s leading the WLFI project, has clarified that there’s no truth whatsoever about Truth Social launching a memecoin.

“There’s no truth whatsoever about Truth Social launching a memecoin. Don’t be fooled by false information people are circulating. We are not launching any memecoins or NFTs. We are focused on World Liberty Financial and completing our mission to fund ANCC through DeFi innovations,” he stated.

Investors Are Being Targeted By Scammers

Meanwhile, several fraudulent tokens are being promoted under the guise of Trump-related initiatives. These tokens are targeting investors who are hoping to capitalize on the president’s ventures.

“Anyone else pushing fake tokens is just a scammer trying to take advantage of people who don’t know better. We are not aware of any other projects or tokens being developed by the Trump family. If you are being solicited for investing in any other token or project, please be cautious and do your own research,” WLFI further warned.
