Launching Summer 2025, T-Rex's Built-in Distribution Engine Introduces a Radically Simple Idea
May 09, 2025 at 11:13 am

Hong Kong, Hong Kong, May 9th, 2025, Chainwire
T-Rex, a blockchain focused on entertainment, content, and cultural virality, has announced a $17 million fundraise and Incubation Fund to reshape online content publishing and consumer-facing decentralized applications (dApps) discovery, deployment, and virality.
The new chain, which is powered by Arbitrum and being launched this summer, flips the model of most blockchains, which have great technology but lack real users, culture, and reasons to stay.
Instead, T-Rex’s (pronounced “trex”) core innovation - Proof-of-Engagement (PoE) - is an easily deployable browser extension that begins by automatically rewarding users on apps they already use daily.
This allows users to collect digital assets and convert them to fiat at any time, or use them for other perks such as cash back at favorite restaurants or exclusive local deals.
Announced today, T-Rex has raised a $17 million seed round led by Framework Ventures, Arbitrum Gaming Ventures, and Portal Ventures.
The round also includes participation from North Island Ventures, ArkStream Capital, Mindfulness Capital, Hypersphere, SNZ, and Arche Fund.
The chain is being developed by EVG, Asia’s prominent product builder and publisher, known for driving mass adoption with hit products like Zing MP3 (18+ million users) and TogetherVN (8+ million users).
Its technologies will be integrated into T-Rex’s ecosystem.
“Arbitrum Gaming Ventures recognizes the transformative potential of platforms like T-Rex that are expanding Web3 beyond DeFi. EVG’s strong regional influence and deep understanding of the Southeast Asian market, projected to reach $7 billion by 2028, provide a strategic gateway for us to significantly scale our footprint within this high-growth region. Combining our robust scaling capabilities with EVG’s extensive ecosystem expertise, we are strategically positioned to penetrate the entertainment industry and broader consumer market in a pivotal and rapidly expanding part of the world,” said Dan Peng, Partner at Arbitrum Gaming Ventures.
