Kusho World Partners With Sovrun to Expand Web3 Gaming

Eyeing to expand web3 gaming, Kusho World, a community-driven web3 protocol blending gaming, anime, and blockchain culture, announced its integration with the blockchain

The partnership between community-driven web3 protocol, Kusho World, and Sovrun, a blockchain infrastructure provider formerly known as BreederDAO, will bring new opportunities for non-fungible token (NFT) holders and enhance gaming experiences.

As part of the partnership, flagship game Kusho Guardians, winner of the YGG Play Summit 2024 Game Jam, will be deployed on Sovrun’s technology.

The game will be powered by Sovrun’s modular blockchain infrastructure, including ReadyGamer, to enhance on-chain gameplay and economics.

The goal is to create a self-sustaining game economy where players actively shape their experience, they said.

“It is also meaningful to us that Sovrun is a Filipino-founded project, as we are taking decisive bets on Filipino builders,” said Joe Josue, Co-Lead, Kusho World.

In November, Kusho Guardians won the Professional Track at the YGG Play Summit Game Jam, scooping up a P220,000 grand prize and a special award for Building on Base.

It is a web3 game by Kusho World featuring AI-powered creatures, on-chain inventory, and resource management gameplay, which was made in two weeks.

The partnership will also see both entities collaborate on educational programs, hackathons, and community initiatives to promote on-chain gaming and empower players and creators.

As part of the partnership, Kusho’s Genesis profile picture NFT collection will transition to Sovrun. Details on the migration process and feature rollouts will be shared progressively.

Arkada, Kusho’s upcoming arcade and gaming hub, will be intergrated with Sovrn’s network.

“Kusho will not only grow within Sovrun’s ecosystem but aims help shape it, creating new ways for players and creators to participate in Web3-native experiences,” said Kusho World.

To further support Philippine-born web3 projects, Kusho will add $SOVRN to its treasury.

Earlier this month, Kusho World announced its plans to expand its offerings in 2025. The protocol is planning to launch new games, expand its community programs, and introduce new ways for people to participate in the Kusho ecosystem.

Sovrun, previously known as BreederDAO, is currently developing a next-generation L2 blockchain. It is focused on autonomous worlds and AI-driven gaming.
