Kaspa (KAS) Surges 8% to Reclaim $0.10, Targeting $0.127
May 03, 2025 at 06:53 am

Kaspa (CRYPTO: KAS) price increased by more than 8% in the last 24 hours, trading at $0.10 at the time of writing. The Layer 1 (L1) chain saw a breakout from a 3-week consolidation, flipping the 21-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) and 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) into support.
What Happened: After weeks of trading sideways and forming a clear base, the price of Kaspa is now showing signs of renewed bullish momentum as it broke through the $0.10 resistance.
This breakout is significant because it follows a period of consolidation, which is a textbook sign that the current trend is set to continue.
As the price trades above both the 21-day EMA at $0.0885 and the 50-day SMA at $0.0781, it creates a crucial pivot point for the next move.
With the Stochastic Oscillator also indicating overbought conditions at 78 and the MACD (12, 26, 9) histogram displaying increasing strength, the technical indicators suggest that the bulls remain in control.
Relative Strength Index (RSI) is also leaving room for continuation at 64.6. The Supertrend indicator on the daily chart is in buy mode, which it entered in late April, and the price is testing the April local high, indicating a strong uptrend.
What Next For Kaspa Price Analysis: A recent dip to $0.088 from $0.098 has been confirmed as a higher low, which is a bullish structure with the previous swing low at $0.072. If buyers can now sustain above the $0.11 level, it sets the stage for a potential move to $0.127.
This price zone is the midpoint between the April highs and the long-term resistance at $0.15. Additionally, the 21-EMA is now acting as dynamic support, which is likely to cushion any minor pullbacks and provide a launchpad for further upside.
Why Is Kaspa Important: Known for its unique architecture that leverages a blockDAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) structure, Kaspa offers high throughput and efficient transaction processing.
Unlike traditional blockchains, which process blocks in a linear chain, Kaspa allows for the creation of multiple blocks simultaneously by different miners. This property is crucial for handling large transaction volumes without sacrificing speed or decentralization.
In essence, Kaspa solves one of the biggest limitations of legacy Proof-of-Work (PoW) chains, such as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC), which struggle with scalability as they process transactions in a single, linear chain.
To increase throughput, many protocols opt for Layer-2 scaling solutions, such as rollups or sidechains. However, Kaspa achieves these speeds natively at the base layer.
