Justin Sun’s Ethereum Vision: A Breakdown

Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, recently shared a hypothetical roadmap to propel Ethereum’s value to $10,000. His vision outlines a series of steps focusing on supply control, revenue optimization, and operational efficiency.

In a hypothetical scenario where Sun were to lead the Ethereum Foundation (EF), his first week would be dedicated to pausing ETH sales and optimizing revenue. The foundation would cease selling ETH for at least three years, covering operational costs through AAVE lending, staking yields, and borrowing stablecoins. This move aligns with Ethereum’s goal of becoming deflationary.

Sun also proposes introducing taxes on Layer 2 projects, which could generate around $5 billion annually for Ethereum. These funds would be used to repurchase and burn ETH, reducing the supply and increasing its deflationary nature.

To enhance efficiency, Sun suggests downsizing the Ethereum Foundation staff, retaining only the top performers. This merit-based approach would see remaining employees receiving substantial salary increases.

Finally, adjusting rewards and increasing fee-burning mechanisms would solidify Ethereum’s deflationary characteristics. Node rewards would be reduced, allocating more resources to burning fees. All efforts would be directed toward Layer 1 development, prioritizing scalability, security, and adoption.

These measures could lead to a short-term surge in Ethereum’s price, potentially reaching $4,500 within a week. This rapid growth would set the stage for further appreciation, eventually bringing Ethereum to the $10,000 mark.

It’s important to note that this roadmap is hypothetical and not a reflection of any actual plans by the Ethereum Foundation. The path to $10,000 may vary depending on market conditions and other factors.
