Justin Sun, Chinese-born crypto mogul, says he's the top holder of the $TRUMP meme token and will be having dinner with President Donald Trump.

May 21, 2025 at 12:03 am

The dinner competition — a sweepstakes offering gala access to the sitting U.S. president — was open to anyone in the world willing to spend millions of dollars on a digital coin tied to Trump.

Justin Sun, Chinese-born crypto mogul, says he's the top holder of the $TRUMP meme token and will be having dinner with President Donald Trump.

Crypto mogul Justin Sun, known for his lavish spending and keen interest in meme tokens, has secured the top spot on the $TRUMP token leaderboard, earning him an invite to a dinner with former President Donald Trump.

The dinner competition — a sweepstakes offering gala access to the sitting U.S. president and a vibrant evening with his top fans was open to anyone in the world.

The top 220 $TRUMP holders are invited to a dinner with the president at his Virginia golf club outside of Washington, D.C. on Thursday.

To gain entry into the competition, participants had to purchase $TRUMP, a digital coin created by the Trump-themed meme coin venture Get Trump Memes.

The initiative was announced in March, shortly after Trump announced his third bid for the presidency.

A subsidiary of Get Trump Memes, GetU.S. Inc., filed for an initial public offering in January. The venture is led by crypto influencer and Heartbeat Labs founder Nicolas Migliozzi.

The startup went on to raise over $100 million from 74 investors ahead of its IPO application.

Among the startup’s biggest backers is Chinese crypto mogul Justin Sun, the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange, TrustNodes.

Sun, who is known for his lavish spending habits, previously bid $75 million for a spot on the Trump dinner guestlist via another crypto venture, World Liberty Financial.

The startup, which focuses on providing financial literacy programs, announced in February that it would be donating 75% of the platform’s revenue to Trump-owned entities.

After missing out on the dinner invite through World Liberty Financial, Sun went all-in on the $TRUMP token to try to win a guaranteed gala spot.

Late Monday night, Sun took to X to announce that he had secured the top spot on the $TRUMP token leaderboard, which earned him an invite to a dinner with the president, as well as a VIP reception for the top 25 holders.

“Honored to support @POTUS and grateful for the invitation from @GetTrumpMemes to attend President Trump’s Gala Dinner as his TOP fan!” Sun wrote.

“As the top holder of $TRUMP, I’m excited to connect with everyone, talk crypto, and discuss the future of our industry.”

Sun now holds $18.6 million worth of the Trump-themed meme token.
