JasmyCoin (JASMY) vs. Stellar (XLM): Where Should You Put Your $2,000 Right Now?

May 14, 2025 at 04:30 pm

If you're looking at JasmyCoin and Stellar (XLM) and wondering which one could be the better investment today, you're not alone.

JasmyCoin (JASMY) vs. Stellar (XLM): Where Should You Put Your $2,000 Right Now?

JasmyCoin (JASMY) and Stellar (XLM) are two tokens that have shown signs of recovery and growth in 2025. Both have been in the news for different reasons lately. Should you be putting $2,000 into JASMY or XLM right now?

As we discussed before, the $0.01 level was key for JasmyCoin. That price zone had been offering resistance for a while, and we saw a triple rejection at the $0.0105-0.0109 band.

After losing the $0.01 support in December 2024, the price dropped hard to around $0.009. But it bounced back into $0.01 by mid-February. From there, we saw a nearly 120% rally in five weeks as the buyers took over.

Now, if this keeps pushing upward, we could see around a 190% gain to $0.059. That high was last seen back in December before the price dropped hard to around $0.009. A move to $0.059 would bring us back to the level where the strong resistance broke down.

What’s fueling this renewed optimism? A lot of it comes down to Jasmy’s real-world commercialization efforts. The company has already completed many of its demonstration tests in partnership with various firms and is now entering the stage of launching services for actual users.

If more businesses adopt Jasmy’s Internet of Things (IoT)-focused data management platform, demand for the JASMY token could rise alongside usage.

The 2025 roadmap looks ambitious. We’ll be seeing 20,000 active nodes and 30 validators added by the end of the year. There’s also the JasmyCoin Developer Program and a three-layer token economy in the works, plus a new JASMY App platform.

If these goals are hit, they’ll improve decentralization, strengthen developer interest, and likely bring a higher JasmyCoin price.

However, there are a few roadblocks that could get in the way.

Earlier this year, JasmyCoin faced a potential delisting scare on Binance, which reminded investors how fragile exchange access can be. A disruption in its payment app earlier in 2025 also raised some doubts.

And while the IoT market is growing rapidly, Jasmy’s major partnerships, like the ones with VAIO and Nagano Prefecture, haven’t scaled as fast as we’d like to see yet. Regulatory expansion outside Japan is proving tricky too, which slows down their global reach and could hold back bigger investors from jumping in.

XLM Price, Stellar Developments, and What to Watch

On the other side, Stellar (XLM) is trading just below a key resistance area around $0.31. It’s already recovered more than 50% in the last six weeks, but it would need to rally another 100% to get back to its December high near $0.63.

That kind of jump will likely require a solid technical breakout and a bit more positive momentum. We’re currently seeing XLM stall around the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level. A breakout above the 50% Fib at $0.38 could invite more buying interest.

Stellar is known for its institutional partnerships and cross-border transaction use cases. The network is pushing hard on the development side. Its Soroban smart contract platform, introduced through the Protocol 20 upgrade, is a big move. It allows for more advanced dApps to be built on Stellar, positioning it closer to other leading smart contract platforms.

If developers start flocking to build on Soroban, the XLM price could see a big push higher. But for now, it’s still in the early stages.

Beyond development, Stellar is deeply focused on financial inclusion, cross-border payments, and stablecoin infrastructure. It’s also expanding into emerging markets where traditional banking access is limited.

That gives it strong long-term utility and positions it well as the blockchain space matures and integrates more closely with traditional finance.

However, there are a few challenges that could slow down Stellar’s progress this year.

Regulatory uncertainty continues to be a challenge, especially around licensing and KYC/AML compliance in different markets. Soroban is still a relatively new platform, and competition from more established smart contract ecosystems is intense.

There’s also the matter of institutional usage not scaling as fast as we’d like to see yet. USDC circulation on Stellar even dropped by around 9% in Q1 2025, which suggests limited recent growth in core usage.
