The accelerator program will provide participants with funding, mentorship, networking opportunities, marketing support, and development resources to help them scale their projects quickly. IOTA’s focus on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization aligns with the growing interest in integrating tangible assets into the DeFi ecosystem, bridging the gap between traditional and decentralized finance.
Singapore’s proactive stance on financial innovation and technological advancement, as evidenced by initiatives like Project Guardian led by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, makes it an ideal location for the RWA tokenization accelerator program. The country’s forward-thinking approach reinforces its position as a leader in blockchain and fintech innovation.
IOTA Ecosystem DLT Foundation and Tenity are inviting applications from early-stage Web3 companies with a minimum viable product and a commitment to driving the adoption of RWA, DeFi, institutional DeFi services, payments, and infrastructure services.
Selected startups will receive a $50,000 grant and tailored guidance to refine their business propositions. The program will culminate in a demo day during the TOKEN2049 conference, where participants can pitch their projects to potential investors.
In addition to the grant, startups will benefit from the expertise of the IOTA team and industry players, a comprehensive exploration of market entry barriers, guidance on monetization strategies, a validation phase for refining strategic blueprints, up to $10,000 in marketing support, and extensive networking opportunities.
Dominik Schiener, Co-Founder and Chairman of the IOTA Foundation, emphasizes the talent and innovation in the APAC region and believes that tokenized RWAs can provide sustainable value to institutions and users in Singapore and beyond. Jonas Thuerig, Head of APAC at Tenity, expresses excitement about supporting the next generation of blockchain pioneers and redefining blockchain’s frontiers through their hybrid engagement model.
The virtual and on-site program will run from June 24 to September 20, with applications being accepted until May 3. The IOTA APAC Accelerator program represents a significant step towards revolutionizing real-world asset tokenization and fostering the adoption of distributed ledger technologies in the region.
