io.net aims to address the GPU supply crunch by creating a more accessible and efficient marketplace for compute resources.

output: In an interview with Bitcoin.com News, Tausif Ahmed, the Chief Business Development Officer at io.net, delves into the decentralized physical infrastructure network that is transforming GPU computing.
As a startup founded in 2020, io.net has quickly gained recognition for its unique approach to connecting users and institutions with idle GPU instances.
“We are essentially creating a decentralized network of GPUs, kind of like a supercomputer in the cloud, which can be used for any application that requires a lot of computing power, like machine learning, AI, scientific computing, and rendering 3D graphics,” explained Ahmed.
The network currently has over 325,000 verified GPUs onboarded to the platform, and the team is continuously working to expand the network.
“We have a team of engineers who are constantly working on improving the software and hardware of the network, and we are always looking for new ways to innovate and expand the network’s capabilities,” added Ahmed.
Institutions and individuals can easily join the network and begin contributing their GPU instances. In return, they receive native tokens, which can be used to pay for goods and services within the network.
“We are also working on creating a decentralized governance structure for the network, which will give users a say in how the network is run.”
