Inverse Head and Shoulders Pattern Sparks Upside Breakout Expectation For Bitcoin

Sep 26, 2024 at 05:30 pm

Inverse Head and Shoulders Pattern Sparks Upside Breakout Expectation For Bitcoin

Anticipation builds for a Bitcoin rally as the crypto giant forms an inverse head and shoulders pattern, signaling a potential breakout.

Fresh Hope For Bitcoin Rally As Crypto Giant Forms Bullish Pattern

Renowned market expert and host of the Crypto Banter show, Kyle Doops, has brought attention to an interesting formation on the Bitcoin price chart. According to Doops, a massive upward shift in BTC’s price in the short-term is in the cards.

The formation in question is an inverse head and shoulders pattern, which usually marks the end of a declining trend. This could indicate that Bitcoin might be preparing for a possible price breakout to mark the complete end of the current consolidation phase.

Moreover, for more than 2 and a half years, BTC has been forming this inverse head and shoulders pattern against the S&P 500 (SPX), hinting at a bullish move in the near future.

Doops points out that the current development of the right shoulder suggests that there hasn’t been a proper Bitcoin bull run in the past 3.5 years. Additionally, the flagship crypto’s returns relative to the SPX haven’t shifted since 2021.

Given these observations, the market expert is optimistic about BTC’s short and long-term prospects, expecting a breakout in Q4 of this year, igniting the “real bull run” against legacy markets.

The analyst also anticipates an impending price surge for Bitcoin based on the Short-Term holder’s and Long-Term holder’s Realized Price metric. This metric, which shows the average price at which various categories of holders are buying and selling BTC, is currently indicating increasing market confidence.

Doops highlights that the realized price for short-term holders has finally broken out above 3 months of resistance, suggesting that a Bitcoin surge might be on the horizon. However, consolidation is crucial to validate this trend reversal.

Hence, the expert has underlined a crucial key support level at $62,000 for investors to watch out for and a rising peak to increase demand and confidence as they navigate the volatile market.

BTC’s Renewed Strength Waning?

Today, BTC encountered a setback that caused its price to drop from the $64,000 range to the $62,500 level. However, the crypto asset is gradually experiencing an upward movement, recovering to the $63,800 price mark.

At the moment, BTC has risen to $63,828, showing a meager increase of 0.07% in the past day. But on a broader scale, the coin has risen by 2.77% and 1.48% in the 7-day and 1-month time frames, respectively.

Despite BTC’s price performance, its trading volume market cap is displaying a concerning trend, decreasing by over 17% and 0.01%, respectively, in the past day, as reported by CoinMarketCap.
