Infinity Nikki pity system guide: How the Resonance gacha works

Dec 12, 2024 at 02:47 am

The gacha uninitiated might find Infinity Nikki's Resonance system overwhelming, but those fairytale outfits are too hard to ignore. Fortunately, the Infinity Nikki pity system helps make pulls less daunting.

Infinity Nikki pity system guide: How the Resonance gacha works

Infinity Nikki’s Resonance gacha system might leave a bad taste in the mouths of the uninitiated, especially considering how enticing those fairytale outfits are. Luckily, the pity system in Infinity Nikki helps make pulls less disheartening.

Outfits locked behind Infinity Nikki’s Resonance gacha are not imbued with any abilities, meaning that pulling has no impact on gameplay. However, InFold’s gacha is sure to tempt fashion lovers into owning all the beautiful gowns.

Infinity Nikki pity system guide

That said, the pulling process in Infinity Nikki is notably complex. Rather than obtaining a single item, players must make dozens of attempts to gather the nine individual pieces needed to complete just one gown.

On the surface, it sounds a bit exploitative, but InFold has added a generous pity system in Infinity Nikki that makes it less daunting.

Infinity Nikki pity system explained

Infinity Nikki pity system ensures players get one 4-star piece for every ten pulls and a 5-star piece for every 20 pulls.

Distant Sea is a permanent banner in Infinity Nikki, and it includes four five-star outfits and other four-star items. Obviously, more players will be pining for Fairytale Swan, Blossoming Stars, Whispers of Waves, or Crystal Poems. Without the pity system, completing one of these five-star outfits would require an astronomical number of pulls.

Each outfit is completed once players have gathered accessories, shoes, socks, hair, and different clothing items that go into the look. That totals at least 180-200 pulls to complete a premium outfit. While that’s a lot of pulls, players can take comfort in the fact that a five-star item is guaranteed after every 20 pulls.

Here’s a breakdown of the item probabilities based on rarity:

Of course, luckier players may land a five-star outfit earlier without having to wait for the 20th draw, but this system serves as a safety net.

InFold has also introduced Tidal Guidance for the permanent banner, a feature that ensures all five-star pulls are dedicated to a player-selected outfit until it is fully completed. Additionally, the pity system prevents duplicate items from dropping until the selected outfit is finished.

In the rare case that a duplicate does occur, players are compensated with Surging Ebbs, an in-game currency that can be used to buy premium currency, softening the blow of an unlucky pull.

While Infinity Nikki’s gacha system is relatively forgiving, the challenge lies in the sheer number of items required to complete an outfit. For example, pulling three out of a dress’s ten five-star pieces won’t significantly impact your performance in styling contests.

To max out stats, you’ll need to collect all the pieces. With each pull costing 120 Diamonds, you need lots of currency and even more luck.

That concludes our guide on the Infinity Nikki pity system.
