Illuvium Announces Its First Official Gauntlet Tournament

Illuvium has announced its first official Gauntlet tournament, “The Last Ranger Standing”, scheduled to start on May 2nd.

The tournament will feature the top 32 competitors vying for 200 ILV and $1,000 in Fuel. The tournament will take place over two days, May 2 and 3, with the final match set to be streamed live on Twitch.

The tournament is a continuation of Illuvium's efforts to build a vibrant and engaging ecosystem for its community. Earlier this year, Illuvium announced the launch of its new chain, enabling the development of a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and the migration of the game's core tokens, ILV and sILV.

Illuvium is a role-playing game (RPG) built on the Ethereum blockchain, known for its open-world exploration and NFT (Non-Fungible Token) mechanic. Illuvials, NFT creatures each having an affinity and class, form the essence of the game's collection and customization.

Players collect Illuvials and deploy them strategically in battles, utilizing their classes and affinities to forge synergies for bonuses. Upon reaching a certain level, Illuvials can be merged to beget more formidable creatures, adding another layer to the strategic gameplay.

The game utilizes its own ERC-20 token, ILV, to reward players for their achievements, which can be staked in the Illuvium Vault for accruing more ILV or sILV.

Moreover, token holders can participate in governance through the Illuvium DAO, ultimately influencing the game's development and direction. The game also has sILV, another token that can be used immediately in-game, differentiating it from ILV, which has a lock-up period.
