The tap-to-earn game Hamster Kombat, which is built on the TON network, has announced the release of its whitepaper and an updated development roadmap. Hamster Kombat Updates Roadmap, Discloses Community Distribution Allocation in New Whitepaper
A new whitepaper and an update on the project roadmap have been released by Hamster Kombat, a tap-to-earn game that has reached over 300 million players. The game, which casts the player as a hamster CEO of an unnamed cryptocurrency exchange, announced the conclusion of its first season and stated that it will soon announce the tokenomics for the distribution of its second season.
Regarding the updated distribution figures, Hamster Kombat stated that it decided to increase the amount of the soon-to-be-released tokens for community distribution due to the importance of players' actions on the game's popularity. It stated:
Each player contributes to our shared success, which we strongly believe in. To reflect this, a massive 60% of the total token supply has been allocated for community distribution.
The project also provided an update on the upcoming airdrop, stating that it still has no set date for its execution and describing it as "a technically complex undertaking, unseen before in the blockchain realm." “We're not setting specific dates for one simple reason: it's impossible to predict the exact timeline for implementing this solution,” it emphasized. The token, however, is already being traded on exchanges that provide pre-issuance markets.
However, Hamster Kombat did state that it was collaborating with the TON ecosystem to guarantee "a smooth and seamless airdrop for all users."
Hamster Kombat and its effects on the population have drawn criticism from several governments. Anatoly Aksakov, who chairs the Financial Market Committee of the Russian State Duma, asked for the game to be shut down because of how it affects Russian people.
In contrast, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov praised the project, saying that it will introduce “the benefits of blockchain to hundreds of millions of people.”
