Its Plans include new Web3 gaming expansions, NFT rewards, and a token buyback strategy, signaling big changes for the hit Telegram game.

Popular Telegram game Hamster Kombat has unveiled an ambitious roadmap for 2025 after launching its token on The Open Network (TON). The roadmap includes new Web3 gaming expansions, NFT rewards, and a token buyback strategy, signaling big changes for the hit game. It also revealed Web3 Gaming Plans for 2025.
As part of the roadmap, Hamster Kombat will launch the second season of the game in October and rapidly expand its game library with new titles. The developers will also integrate external payment systems to create an on-ramp into the game, especially once NFTs are integrated into the game in November. Additionally, Hamster Kombat will publish its first cohort of games created by third-party developers. These games are expected to be available within the upcoming Hamster Kombat progressive web app (PWA) for iOS, Android, and desktop, marking the beginning of the game's transition away from being primarily Telegram-based.
On Sept. 23, the Hamster Kombat team revealed the allocations for its highly anticipated airdrop event. Out of the game's 300 million users, only 131 million are eligible to receive the airdrop, which represents only 43% of the total user base. The team behind Hamster also has strategies in place for keeping users engaged after the airdrops. “11.25% of tokens distributed after Season 1 will be vested and unlocked 10 months after the listing. Given the project’s rapid development, the value of these tokens can be comparable to the initial unlock,” the team said.
Instead of paying airdrop hunters, the team will focus on the value proposition related to the games within its ecosystem and not just earnings. “This approach is different from the traditional one, where Web3 developers are paying airdrop hunters,” they added. By creating engaging content, the team plans to onboard more players by combining the best of Web2 and Web3.
Furthermore, the company will launch a dedicated advertising network to be used by games in the Hamster ecosystem, which will be released in December 2024. “We’re also planning to use ad revenue to buy back tokens from the market for regular distribution to players and token burns,” the team noted.
While Telegram will always be a crucial part of Hamster Kombat and its ecosystem of products, the team shared that they are looking to expand to capture the audience that isn’t on Telegram.
