Grayscale’s growing curiosity in DeFi is mirrored within the broader institutional interest in the sector. The agency's launch of various crypto merchandise, together with decentralized AI funds and spot Bitcoin ETFs, demonstrates its efforts in bridging traditional finance (TradFi) with DeFi.

Despite the interest in the Aave protocol, the AAVE token has seen a slight decline, dropping by nearly 4% as of Thursday. The token is currently trading at $137.59, according to BeInCrypto data.

However, the platform's total value locked (TVL) remains strong, standing at $11.652 billion, ranking Aave as the largest crypto lending protocol by TVL, according to DeFiLlama.
