Web3 security platform GoPlus has unveiled its native token, $GPS, in a bid to transform the sector. The token will serve as the cornerstone of the GoPlus Security Network, which aims to enhance decentralized infrastructure and bolster the security system for blockchain transactions.
According to a statement, the platform has been handling over 30 million security requests daily since its launch in 2020, protecting billions of dollars across more than 30 blockchain networks. GoPlus has also earned the trust of leading wallets, protocols, and decentralized exchanges.
The foundation is now set to unveil its $GPS token, which will be crucial to the GoPlus infrastructure. It will support the secure issuance, trading, and management of assets on the platform. Users can pay for security services using the token, and businesses can leverage it for innovative APIs and liquidity management.
Moreover, the tokenomics of $GPS will enable users and contributors to stake their tokens to manage security nodes, earning rewards in return. The total supply of $GPS tokens will be capped at 10 billion, with over 60% allocated to ecosystem development and community enhancement.
"This approach will foster sustainable growth while maintaining a balanced model that addresses the needs of both developers and contributors," the statement noted.
The platform is also committed to empowering its community worldwide. Further updates on the token launch and the Token Generation Event (TGE) will be shared soon, as GoPlus continues to advance its mission of creating secure and decentralized blockchain ecosystems.
