Google Cloud Partners with Injective as Official Validator, Strengthening DeFi Blockchain

Mar 27, 2025 at 01:30 am

In a significant development for the DeFi ecosystem, Google Cloud has officially become a validator for Injective, a blockchain known for its interoperability and focus on decentralized finance (DeFi).

Google Cloud Partners with Injective as Official Validator, Strengthening DeFi Blockchain

Google Cloud is now an official validator for Injective, a blockchain protocol focused on decentralized finance (DeFi) and interoperability. The partnership, which also includes the integration of Injective’s developer suite onto Google Cloud’s platform, was announced on Wednesday.

It places Google Cloud alongside other major validators of the Injective network, including Deutsche Telekom MMS, and will see the cloud giant contribute to the secure processing of transactions and support the ongoing decentralization efforts of the blockchain.

The partnership will also see Google’s technological expertise and advanced infrastructure brought to bear on improving the network’s security and efficiency in validating transactions.

Injective is among a select group of blockchain protocols to benefit from specialized web3 services being offered by Google Cloud, which are part of broader efforts by the cloud giant to support the burgeoning decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.

This exclusive partnership grants Injective access to cutting-edge tools and resources from Google Cloud, which are designed to elevate the developer experience and optimize the operational efficiency of the blockchain.

The integration with Google Cloud allows for the complete build-out of Injective’s developer suite on its platform, where institutions and developers can seamlessly create decentralized applications (dApps). This enhanced infrastructure is poised to propel the growth and innovation within the Injective ecosystem to new heights.

As part of the collaboration, Injective’s developers will also have access to Google Cloud’s web3 portal, which provides essential resources such as testnet tools, tutorials, and learning materials for streamlined development on the Injective network. The portal also features the Web3 Faucet for INJ testnet tokens, facilitating easy testing and experimentation by developers.

Furthermore, Injective’s blockchain data is now seamlessly integrated into Google Cloud’s BigQuery data warehouse, specifically through a feature called Injective Nexus. This integration provides developers with the ability to effortlessly retrieve real-time chain data, unlocking opportunities to develop an array of advanced DeFi applications, cutting-edge machine learning models, and sophisticated institutional trading strategies.

“We are excited to utilize Google Cloud’s leading infrastructure to further develop the Injective network. This partnership will play a key role in expanding institutional onboarding and accelerating innovation across the DeFi space,” said Eric Chen, CEO and Co-Founder of Injective Labs.

This partnership aligns with Google Cloud’s broader commitment to supporting the growth of web3 technologies.

“At Google Cloud, we are dedicated to providing the building blocks and resources for a thriving web3 ecosystem. We are impressed by the rapid innovation within the Injective community and optimistic about the future of the Injective network as a leading force in decentralized finance,” said Rishi Ramchandani, Head of Web3 GTM at Google Cloud Asia Pacific.

“We look forward to strengthening our collaboration with foundational layer one networks like Injective to deliver enterprise-ready web3 infrastructure and developer tools that enhance ecosystem reliability and decentralization.”

Together with ElizaOS and DoraHacks, the two companies are also running an AI Agent Hackathon, which will see developers use Injective’s iAgent to build financial applications.
