Fine Jewelry Brand, Messika, Expands Its Global Reach by Accepting Cryptocurrencies
Apr 30, 2025 at 03:33 am
By integrating Lunu's crypto payment system, Messika can now accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), Solana (SOL), and over 60 other cryptocurrencies
Paris-based fine jewelry brand Messika has begun accepting cryptocurrency payments in all its boutiques worldwide, as well as on its online store, in addition to the usual cards and bank transfers.
As of April 29, 2025, customers can buy Messika’s signature diamond jewelry, such as its diamond encrusted necklace or ring, using Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), Solana (SOL), and over 60 other cryptocurrencies.
The integration comes in partnership with crypto payment solutions provider Lunu. Through Lunu, Messika can easily transact, instantly converting cryptocurrency to fiat currency on the fly during the transaction while customers are able to check out in a frictionless manner.
The partnership also handles the financial regulatory requirements, as they eliminate concerns when it comes to volatility and security in crypto transactions. This means that customers will have confidence that in using digital currencies there will be no fluctuating exchange rates.
If successful, Messika’s adoption of crypto would make it a trailblazer among other luxury brands in embracing blockchain-based payments, a trend that is also taking root within the industry.
The move to introduce cryptocurrency payments is a strategic one that is aimed at transforming the luxury retail shopping experience.
The integration of crypto payments in Messika's stores and online platform will allow customers to buy the brand's signature pieces of diamond jewelry in physical stores or online. According to the announcement, Lunu's system is so integrateable and renders the transactions in a secure and instantaneous manner.
"Our clients expect innovation in every aspect of their experience," a Messika spokesperson said. "Through crypto payments, we are able to communicate with the needs of customers who have disposable money yet want to retain our heritage of excellence." Yet that very sentiment is what Messika hopes to keep ahead of the curve of a highly competitive market in which personalization and convenience come first.
This ensures that the partnership with Lunu also deals with the financial regulatory requirements, as they eliminate concerns when it comes to volatility and security in crypto transactions. This means that customers will have confidence that in using digital currencies there will be no fluctuating exchange rates.

"We are not piecing together the trends, but in fact defining what luxury is really about." Through this lens, crypto can unite the generational divide in luxury retail, pleasuring formal buyers and the crypto enthusiast.
