After a day of turbulence in the cryptocurrency market, sparked by Binance’s announcement of several token delistings, including Fetch.ai (FET), a closer examination of the events reveals a tale of panic, opportunity, and potential.

A thread of events, unfolding on Friday, July 1st, highlighted a crucial development. Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, announced its decision to remove several tokens from its listings, with Fetch.ai being among them. However, the announcement’s timing and the way it was written raised questions.

Binance will be removing 4 tokens from its listings on July 1st. Among them are FET, MDT, SAFEMOON, and ZT.

This news sparked surprise and panic among investors, especially considering the lack of clear explanation for the delistings. While Binance typically provides a standard format for announcing delistings, which includes the token’s ticker, the specific date and time of the last trade, and a statement indicating the delisting, the announcement on Friday was different.

The relevant trading pairs will be:

After the last trade is complete, the affected tokens will no longer be visible on the Spot, Margin, P2P Trading, OTC Trading, Savings, Staking, Launchpad, Earn, Trust Wallet Pay, Card Swipe, and Recurring Buy functions.”
