Ether Will Surpass Bitcoin by Market Capitalization in Five Years, Analysts at 1Confirmation Predict
Aug 25, 2024 at 12:27 am
This bold expectation of experts is associated with the approval of spot exchange-traded funds based on Bitcoin and Ether in the United States.

Venture capital firm 1Confirmation's analysts have predicted that the crypto industry will witness significant shifts over the next five years, including ether overtaking Bitcoin in terms of market capitalization.
This bold anticipation from the experts is linked to the approval of spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for Bitcoin and ether in the United States. Currently, 12 bitcoin ETFs manage assets valued at over $788 billion, while ether ETFs collectively hold nearly $88 billion.
1Confirmation analysts have projected that ether's market capitalization, which stands at $321 billion, will surpass Bitcoin's $1.2 trillion by 2029.
According to the experts, the primary altcoin's utility in decentralized applications and finance gives it a strong edge over Bitcoin, which is often dubbed as "digital gold." Ethereum's role in enabling decentralized internet will also drive attention from large investors towards the asset.
Meanwhile, 1Confirmation also anticipates that some hyped trends within the crypto space, like meme coins and NFTs, will fizzle out as they fail to introduce substantial innovations. Their place might be taken by assets that pique the interest of the crypto community and "drive the next wave of adoption."]
