The crypto market woke up energized today. As if touched by the magic wand of optimism and increased institutional activity, Ethereum touched $2,800 for the first time since February.
The move comes amid a broader narrative of rising Bitcoin futures outflows, which some analysts believe could be fuelling a "quiet strength" in BTC, and a potential shift in institutional allocators pivoting back to crypto after a period of focus on emerging markets.
Solana also saw strength, bouncing off the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $160. This is interesting given the recent chatter around Solana ETFs potentially being in the works.
Optimism around the integration of the Solana ecosystem is heating up, with several protocols announcing partnerships and collaborations.
On the other hand, XRP is pulling back slightly from recent highs, consolidating below the 50-day EMA, which serves as a key technical point for traders to watch. This move could be linked to a decrease in network activity compared to January highs, which might indicate a cooling off period after a 255% rally in seven months.
Despite this setback, XRP is still performing remarkably well this year, having tripled in value since the start of 2025.
Here’s a snapshot of the market at the time of writing:
Top Gainers & Losers
Uniswap (UNI) led the charge among the top 100 coins with an impressive 25% rally. This move could be linked to the rising demand for decentralized exchanges (DEXs), as highlighted by the recent integration of Uniswap on Arbitrum.
The integration of DEX protocols on Layer 2 networks is facilitating a seamless and cost-effective user experience, thereby boosting DEX activity and, in turn, the price of UNI.
On the other hand, UNUS SED LEO (LEO) saw the biggest loss among the top 100 coins, dropping by 4%. This move could be linked to profit-taking after a recent rally that saw LEO more than double in value since the start of the year.
Here are the top five coins that gained the most price in the past 24 hours:
