EOS Reborn: Vaulta's Vision for Web3 Dominance
May 08, 2025 at 10:31 pm

Announced in March, cryptocurrency project EOS is set to be rebranded to Vaulta as it pivots towards Web3 banking and decentralized finance (DeFi), with a 1:1 token exchange to be completed on May 14, 2025.
This renaming has sparked a significant price rally, nearly doubling the price of EOS over the past month, with the token now at about $0.8429.
What Happened: According to Vaulta's 2024-2025 roadmap, the protocol will undergo several key upgrades, including the introduction of Savanna Consensus for faster block finality and RAM optimization.
Furthermore, Vaulta will be introducing MPC wallets to facilitate seamless smart contract interaction between different chains and integrating EOS EVM with Proto-Danksharding.
The token replacement and rebranding plans have already attracted interest from investors and sparked a surge in trading activity.
Earlier this year, reports indicated that Vaulta is a key target for investors in 2024, with several investment firms showing interest in deploying capital into the cryptocurrency project.
As part of its strategy to expand its presence in the DeFi sector, Vaulta is also planning to introduce yield-bearing financial products to investors in 2024.
This initiative aims to capitalize on the increasing demand for passive income opportunities within the cryptocurrency market.
Top Gainer In May: Among the top 50 cryptocurrencies, (CRYPTO:BTC) and (CRYPTO:ETH), by market cap, HEAT is the best performer this month with over 200% gains.
However, if we include smaller cryptocurrencies, an even bigger gainer is Animoca (CRYPTO:META) with 300% gains in May alone.
But if we consider the coins that started May 12th, then the best performing coin is ApeCoin (CRYPTO:APE) which is up 180% in 10 days.
Among the top 50 coins, which also includes BTC and ETH, the second best performing coin is (CRYPTO:ATOM) with 100% gains from a low of $11.06 on May 9th to a high of $22.44 on May 12th.
It is also noteworthy that despite the price crash in early 2024, which saw the price of LTC decline from $80 to $30, the price of LTC has now recovered to reach $70.
Last 24 Hour: BTC trades at $25,064, down 0.16% over the past 24 hours. At press time, the world’s largest cryptocurrency is still in the green for the week with a 0.21% increase.
The total cryptocurrency market is currently valued at $1.19 trillion and has seen a 0.07% decrease over the past 24 hours, presenting a slight decrease from yesterday’s gains.
