Empowering Suriname Through Bitcoin

Jul 10, 2024 at 05:01 pm

Parbhoe is a trailblazing businesswoman from a lineage of influential entrepreneurs. Her personal experiences with these issues have fueled her passion for change.

Empowering Suriname Through Bitcoin

Suriname, a country in South America with a population of around 600,000, gained independence from the Netherlands in 1975. Despite having a rich natural resource base, Suriname has faced challenges such as economic instability and corruption.

One Surinamese entrepreneur, Parbhoe, is harnessing Bitcoin to empower her country and reduce the power of abusive financial institutions. Parbhoe, who belongs to a lineage of influential entrepreneurs, is passionate about using Bitcoin to improve the lives of Surinamese people.

Parbhoe's Focus on Bitcoin

Parbhoe’s experiences with Suriname's economic issues have shaped her perspective on the need for financial freedom. She believes that Bitcoin can play a crucial role in achieving this goal.

“Since 2009 (when Bitcoin was invented), we have not been able to get rid of the banks,” Parbhoe stated, highlighting the enduring presence of banks despite the emergence of Bitcoin.

She further elaborated, stating, “Bitcoin has evolved, scaled, and grown, but how do you get people free of a bank? The only way to get people free of banks is to get them free of their mortgage.”

Parbhoe's focus is on reducing the power of abusive financial institutions and putting control back in the hands of the people. She believes that Bitcoin is a critical tool in this endeavor and advocates for the acceleration of its adoption in Suriname.

Her vision includes transitioning Suriname to a Bitcoin standard, a move she argues will protect and potentially increase citizens' wealth over time, rather than allowing it to deteriorate under the current system.

“Bitcoin will help connect the Surinamese people to the world financially,” Parbhoe emphasized. She also noted that Suriname is currently largely isolated from the global financial system, a barrier that Bitcoin can help overcome.

By integrating Bitcoin, Parbhoe aims to link Suriname more closely with the international financial community, fostering economic growth and stability.

Parbhoe's pro-Bitcoin stance is a bold and innovative approach to addressing Suriname's economic challenges. Her commitment to reducing the influence of traditional banks and promoting financial autonomy resonates with a growing number of Surinamese citizens who are seeking alternatives to the status quo.
