The lavish setting featured elegant indoor dining, complete with wine glasses, cutlery, and a menu card.

The Democratic Party expressed concerns about potential conflicts of interest arising from Trump profiting off selling his likeness to memecoin creators and later engaging with the coins' top buyers.

"It is clear that there are no limits to the lengths that Donald Trump will go to enrich himself, including now selling his likeness for memecoins and profiting off the ventures of others," a spokesperson for the Democratic Party stated.

However, pro-Trump crypto enthusiasts argued that the backlash was hypocritical, considering that politicians frequently attend fundraising events with donors.

Democrats and even some pro-Trump crypto enthusiasts have voiced concerns about potential conflicts of interest and the possibility of shadowy buyers gaining access to Trump through such events.

The Trump Digital Coins highlight Trump's image and tagline "Make America Great Again" in their branding.

The coins were launched in August on the Web3 token platform Manifold, offering users the opportunity to invest in the coins while Trump receives a royalty from each sale.
