Dogizen brings a fresh new concept to the tried-and-tested tropes of tap-to-earn, with a world travel theme that sees players traverse the globe with their canine companions.

A brand new tap-to-earn (T2E) game called Dogizen has confirmed it will launch on 15th August at 10 a.m. UTC.
The project joins one of the fastest-growing sectors in crypto, with the top four T2E games boasting over 400 million users — most of whom have appeared this calendar year, making up nearly half of Telegram’s total user base.
Dogizen will aim to capture a slice of this huge captive audience, and with a game concept that rivals the best of the bunch (we’re talking Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, and Catizen), it could easily become one of the most popular T2E games around.
Read on for a deep dive into the world of Dogizen, and see how it stacks up against the most popular titles in the space.
Dogizen: Shaking up tap-to-earn
Dogizen brings a fresh new concept to the tried-and-tested tropes of tap-to-earn, with a world travel theme that sees players traverse the globe with their canine companions.
Tapping, the game’s core mechanic, allows players to earn TREATZ, the in-game token of Dogizen. It’s simple: the more you tap, the more TREATZ you earn, and the more you can do within the game. Plus, if you’re feeling hungry, you can buy extra tokens via in-app purchases.
TREATZ can be used to complete challenges in-game, with each location — including London, Paris, Tokyo, and more — containing its own set of activities: see the Eiffel Tower in France, eat sushi in Japan, and ride a double-decker bus in England. Completing tasks allows you to earn XP points, which then unlock new areas as you begin your tour of the world and collect stamps on your pet passport.
Completing challenges and collecting stamps also allow you to increase idle earnings: TREATZ that stack up even when you’re not tapping. Idle earnings only remain active if you login every three hours, though, meaning the most dedicated players get the biggest rewards. And, if you log in every day, you get access to special ‘care packages’ containing TREATZ, XP boosts, and exclusive items.
Nothing is more fun than traveling the world with friends, and Dogizen knows this: that’s why there’s a rewarding ‘refurral’ scheme so you can bring your pals with you. Full-on social gaming features will be added as the game progresses along its roadmap.
Finally, another major feature planned post-launch is the Dogizen Universe: a launchpad for new games where fans can unleash their very own creations into the Dogizen app for the whole world to enjoy.
How does Dogizen compare?
There are more T2E games than ever right now, but Dogizen stands out by building on the best of the rest and adding a distinctive doggy twist.
Tapping and idle earnings work much the same as in industry leader Hamster Kombat: the more you tap, engage, and invest in the storyline behind the game, the bigger your rewards. Casual players can enjoy a fun, addictive experience by stacking coins manually, and dedicated gamers can stack more coins than everyone else by spending their TREATZ wisely to increase idle earnings.
The main difference here is clear: Hamster Kombat has the player control an intrepid hamster, whereas Dogizen has a canine theme, appealing to crypto’s — and Telegram founder Pavel Durov’s — love for dogs. Plus, while Hamster Kombat sees the player take on the cut-throat role of a crypto exchange CEO, Dogizen provides a break from the stresses of the world with the calm escape offered by travel.
The Dogizen Universe also has similarities with other T2E games. Catizen offers a slew of mini-games on top of its central adventure, and Notcoin is moving towards a story-based Web3 experience to augment its core tapping mechanics. However, Dogizen’s plan to crowdsource games adds another level of community engagement that just isn’t available anywhere else.
Coming soon to a smartphone near you
Dogizen launches on 15th August at 10 a.m. UTC. Don’t miss the chance to be early to what promises to be one of the most exciting clicker titles in Web3. There’s no better place than Telegram to stay updated, and you can take a sneak peek at what’s to come on the official Dogizen site.
