DOGE and FLOKI See Double-Digit Declines, Project Further Drops By As Much As 43%
Jan 13, 2025 at 12:00 am

Memecoins, a subset of cryptocurrencies inspired by internet memes and typically characterized by high volatility and speculative trading, have experienced significant declines in the past week and month.
Among the memecoins, DOGE and FLOKI have displayed notable drops in value.
Over the past week, DOGE and FLOKI have seen declines of 2.07% and 9.92%, respectively. These drops are further amplified when considering the past month's performance, with declines reaching 15.16% for DOGE and 26.26% for FLOKI.
These declines are also representative of the broader memecoin market, which has seen a 17.74% drop in the past 30 days, bringing the total market cap down to $97.09 billion.
Additionally, volume has dropped by 74.09% to $11.25 billion, indicating a loss of interest in the market.
An analysis of DOGE's daily chart on TradingView shows no positive directional bias. However, recent drops can be attributed to trading into a key resistance zone on the chart, which may lead to further price drops.
Despite DOGE sentiment remaining fair, FLOKI projects a deeper fall from its current price level.
After trading into a major supply zone on the chart between 0.0027246 to 0.00031552, FLOKI has experienced a substantial downturn, dropping by 43.09%.
The coin now faces another potential downward movement of 20.16% if the current support level at 0.00016248 fails, which would send it back to a consolidation channel.
With top cryptocurrencies in the market performing below expectations and Memecoins like DOGE and FLOKI ranking 7th and 68th by market capitalization, respectively, investors may want to consider alternative methods to multiply their crypto investments.
