DeLorean Motor Company Is Returning With the Alpha 5 EV

It was 2022 when this video popped up on the DeLorean Motor Company, teasing that the vehicle is returning
DeLorean, the iconic car brand known for its futuristic designs and links to the 1980s, is making a comeback with a new hypercar, the Alpha 5, and it's getting a unique reservation system: an NFT marketplace.
The news was revealed in a teaser video on Delorean Motor Company's social media channels. Set in the style of Star Trek, the video features Patrick Stewart narrating the story of the Alpha 5 and its journey to reach new civilizations—car buyers.
Each token, out of the 1200 being sold, will reserve a build of the latest DeLorean vehicle, starting with the Alpha 5 hypercar. The tokens are available for purchase now on the DeLorean NFT marketplace.
Those who prefer a more traditional approach can join the "Alpha Club" to stay updated on the latest news and receive exclusive content.
The Build Slots are expected to start at $2,500, while the secondary market price for the NFTs is currently averaging around $10,000.
This unique approach to vehicle reservations allows fans to own a piece of DeLorean history and engage with the brand in new ways. It remains to be seen how this innovative system will impact the future of car sales.
