A Decline in SEI Price During v2 Upgrade and Token Distribution
Jun 10, 2024 at 06:00 am
In the past 24 hours, SEI's price dropped by 3.91%, alongside a 19.51% decline in trading volume. This decline followed the Sei Foundation's successful v2 upgrade

The price of SEI decreased by 3.91% over the past 24 hours, as over 27 million SEI tokens were distributed. Simultaneously, Aave has proposed the launch of the Aave Blockchain, which will serve as a central network hub for Aave and its stablecoin, GHO.
In contrast, BlockDAG’s (BDAG) Moon Keynote 2 has generated global excitement, driving presale sales to $46.8 million, which includes the sale of 11.1 billion coins and the participation of over 7,100 miners. The keynote highlights BlockDAG’s potential as a leading Layer 1 cryptocurrency, projecting an impressive ROI of 30,000x. With innovative advancements and a rapidly growing community, BlockDAG is set to revolutionise the crypto market.
A Decline in SEI Price During v2 Upgrade and Token Distribution
The price of SEI dropped by 3.91% in the past 24 hours, with a 19.51% decline in trading volume. This follows the successful v2 upgrade by the Sei Foundation, which saw the distribution of over 27 million SEI tokens.
The airdrop aimed to reward active participants since the launch of the Pacific-1 Mainnet, sparking some criticism regarding fairness. However, to address this, the foundation established specific eligibility criteria.
This excludes addresses with high SEI holdings or large NFT collections from receiving the airdrop. The v2 upgrade also introduced sub-second transaction finality and improved scalability, positioning Sei to compete with networks like Monad and Neon.
Aave Blockchain: GHO and AAVE Staking Multichain Hub
Aave has proposed to launch the Aave Blockchain, which will serve as a central network hub for Aave and its stablecoin GHO. This network-agnostic approach aims to ensure seamless integration across various blockchain ecosystems.
The GHO stablecoin could be used to pay gas fees, while the AAVE token would serve as the primary staking asset for decentralised validators and sequencers. This move aims to increase the utility and demand for both tokens.
Aave, the largest lending protocol with over $13 billion in TVL, plans to surpass major Layer-2 networks. The crypto community has welcomed this proposal, highlighting a trend of dApps launching dedicated blockchains to enhance interoperability and collaboration.
Groundbreaking Developments Revealed in BlockDAG’s Moon Keynote
BlockDAG’s Moon Keynote 2 has unveiled significant advancements, earning praise from Forbes and Bloomberg and gaining support from prominent crypto figures. Key updates include the launch of the X1 App, blockchain enhancements, the announcement of a fully human workforce, global marketing efforts, and refined roadmaps.
The keynote highlights BlockDAG’s DAG technology, which simultaneously enhances scalability by processing multiple transactions. The introduction of a Low-Code/No-Code platform and the planned mainnet launch four months after the mid-August Testnet were also major highlights.
BlockDAG is generating $500k daily, with forecasts suggesting this might soar to $5m daily. The presale is expected to conclude with the mainnet launch within four months.
The keynote also introduced the X1 Miner app, which is now in beta on Android and Apple platforms. This app turns smartphones into efficient BDAG coin-mining machines using a power-conserving algorithm.
It features a user-friendly interface, a referral programme to increase mining rates, and daily participation rewards. Upcoming features like Wallet, Send/Receive, Leaderboard and Community Section will enhance the app’s utility. Participants can start mining up to 20 BDAG daily, valued at $1 upon release.
