The Digital Asset Exchange Alliance (DAXA), a consortium representing South Korea's leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has decided to prolong its intensive scrutiny of the Gala (GALA) token.

DAXA Extends Its Scrutiny of the GALA Token, Underscoring Its Dedication to Safeguarding the Validity and Stability of Digital Assets

South Korea’s Digital Asset Exchange Alliance (DAXA) has decided to extend its monitoring period for the Gala (GALA) token on its member exchanges.

The consortium, which includes Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax, aims to strengthen consumer protections, especially in light of past market volatility events such as the Terra and Luna coin collapses. It also promotes responsible development within South Korea’s crypto sector.

The extension of DAXA's monitoring period for the GALA token highlights the consortium's dedication to guaranteeing the validity and stability of digital assets accessible on their platforms.

Gala Games, the driving force behind GALA, is a Web3 gaming environment centered on a Layer 1 blockchain technology for interactive entertainment.

Founded in 2018 by Zynga co-founder Eric Schiermeyer, Gala Games unveiled its first game, Town Star, a farming simulation. Since then, 13 more games and Gala Music have been added to the platform, boasting a 78,000-track catalog as of April 2024.

Gala aims to create a worldwide community of users and content producers, hoping to become the first blockchain project with one billion users globally. This vision underscores Gala's goal to use blockchain technology to facilitate large-scale creative projects and interactive entertainment experiences.

DAXA's decision to continue its investigation into GALA reflects the consortium's commitment to ensuring initiatives like the Gala Games follow strict criteria and innovate responsibly within the evolving crypto scene.
