CZ Shares Vision Following Prison Release

Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder and former CEO of crypto exchange Binance, shared a personal update on social media platform X on Sunday

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has shared his thoughts on his recent experiences and future aspirations in a personal update. He highlighted several areas of interest, including education, blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotechnology.

CZ was released from U.S. custody on Friday after being detained for questioning in relation to money laundering allegations. Following his release, he took to social media platform X on Sunday to share his gratitude and offer an update on his upcoming book and future plans.

CZ expressed his intention to focus on various projects in the coming years, emphasizing his passion for education and blockchain technologies. He remarked on the progress of Giggle Academy, a non-profit early childhood education initiative he founded in 2023. He also stated his commitment to continuing investments in blockchain/decentralized technologies, AI, and biotech.

Highlighting his long-term perspective, CZ stated that his investment strategy prioritizes impact over returns, aiming to support meaningful initiatives and technological advancements. Furthermore, he shared his plans to deepen his philanthropic work, particularly in the areas of charity and education.

CZ shared his thoughts on his experience in custody, commenting on the improved food and the luxury of having more than one piece of fruit per day. He also expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his incarceration, stating that it “kept [him] strong in the darkest moments.”

Concluding his update, CZ provided an update on his upcoming book, which he revealed is around two-thirds complete. He shared that writing a book is more challenging than he anticipated but that he remains committed to finishing the project. He also noted that Binance continues to perform well without his daily input, which he described as “every founder’s dream.”
